Common Audi Issues
I'm getting the 01776 - Key Signal Too Low diagnostic message.
If you are getting the 01776 - Key Signal Too Low error message there are 3 possible problems.
1.A fault with the wiring from immobiliser control module to to the immobiliser reader coil, a known issue would be the length of the wire. This issue is common in the following models;
2. A fault with the reader coil. Unfortunately this would mean that the ignition would have to be replaced. The reader coil is part of the ignition and cannot be purchased seperately. A new ignition would solve this problem. 3D Autokeys keep the ignitions in stock so get in touch with us for a quote.
3. Very rarely but occasionally it can be due to a Key fault. It is very rare for a transponder to loose its information but they are made of glass, they are tested to withstand a certain amount of accidents but over time they can break. We can supply replacements. Please contact us for a quote.
FAQ on Audi
Intermittent start problem with Audi A3 1.9, is this a key problem?
On an 8p chassis Audi this is a common problem. Especially with the 1.9 / 2.0 TDI models. If the engine management light fails to light up when this happening it is possible there is a ECU fault, very common on these Audi's and would mean that the ECU may need replacing or repairing.
If the dash has 'SAFE' where the milage normally is then it may be an issue with the car key and a replacement key may solve this issue.
We can replace all Audi remote keys using genuine parts and genuine machinery, if it's not a key fault we can diagnose the issue and advise you. Please call us for a quote or get a quote online here.
My 2008 Audi TT will not start. I have 2 keys and none of them start my engine. My lights on the dash don't come on either.
There are several things that could be causing this issue.
The 1st thing you should test is the vehicle battery, especially if it hasn't been driven for a while.
The instrument cluster for the Audi (8J) TT are renowned for failing. If you experience incorrect readings from the gauges or chattering needles when you attempt to start the vehicle, this could be your problem. The data can get corrupted and result in a complete dash failure. When this happens it will not recognise your keys and will not start. Your cluster will need to repaired or replaced. Call 3D Autokeys for further advice as we can diagnose this issue for you to confirm.
